I went to give blood today. They took all my information, had me wait for 40 minutes, then tested my hemoglobin. It was 124, the minimum they could accept was 125 (I lack iron). Meanwhile, the nurse’s sick daughter called from school and was sick and she broke down crying because she felt like a bad mother. It was surreal. And I didn’t even get to give blood.

My phone mysteriously began working again. It boasted forty-four messages and several voicemails, inclusive of a rousing Nirvana cover and a “Yeah, just checking to see if this works. Hell yes.” Because it would be far too difficult to actually identify oneself in such a voicemail. Anyhow, such happenings made me laugh. As did the long and complex youtube url texted to me. People these days.
And I have so many assignments to do; I am far too social for my own good.
Today I bought a yellow poncho and walked home in it.
Redeemer students as a whole would be so much more enjoyable if they enjoyed 1) Guster 2) hippie music.
Time passes so slowly when you’re awake like 20 hours a day on an ongoing basis. Nighty night.

I’m giving blood on Thursday!
I also got new speakers and I subwoofered Psycho Killer and that was exciting.
“We falafels and you people, we are all just planets. And this hot viscous oil that surrounds me now is like the imaginary ether that binds us all together in this tasty feast called life.”

The good news is I got my article published in the university newspaper. The bad news is they misspelled my name and omitted several clever wordings and screwed up grammar and punctuation in quite a few places. What kind of English major do you think I am. The other good news is that they also included a picture of me.

At college, I live on bread and water.
I would now suggest that you drop everything and listen to the following (indispensible) musical artists: Guster, Wilco, Trey Anastasio, Joe Pisapia, Phish. Fo shizzle.
Today I am doing something I have never before done. Socks and Crocs!

I ought to start eating healthily again. The campus market does not sell tofu. I seldom sleep. Let’s go to a Guster show. I and my room are so unreasonably disorganized. I wrote for the newspaper. C’est bon. I should be writing letters. I should be doing assignments. I’m starting a fencing club and that is also nerve wracking. And applying for a job as a photographer. Today I received my very first text message and was vaguely alarmed. Where is my space key? Where did it pie? FUN FACT: My phone’s screen saver is scrolling text that reads “Ya mar ya mar”. Canadians don’t get any of these subtle references.
